About Tikli Bottom
Nestling against the Aravali Hills,off the Gurgaon Sohna Road,just over twenty kilometeres south of the Delhi border,lies Manender Farm,but which,because it lies popularly called Tikli Bottom.
Designed to recapture the spirit and comfort of living without air-conditioning,the house embraces Lutyens proportions and elegance,built round an old style Indian haveli courtyard with cobered terraces, for extra space,shade and security.
Four double bedroom suites,now with Ac's offer a high standard of comfort,with inreior sprung matteresses.and bathrooms with tubs and showers.The courtyard and garden umbrellas allow sun or shade to suit all tastes,while the swimming pool offers excercise and refreshing cool in the heat.
Other than simply relaxing,there are ample opportunities for streyching the legs,with walks up the valley,round the organix farm,or into the local village to see the new India emerging.The hills once climbed,offer good vistas over the countryside and bird-watching is unavoidable,wharever you are doing.
As the seasons permit,the kitchen produce is home grown and organic.We are blessed in having a highly experinecd cook with plenty of imagination.The table d'hote menus have an international falvour.
The metalled road stops half a kilometer short of us,so peace and quiet reign,and rustic solitude is the order of the day.
Guests live en-famile,which adds to the friendlinedd of your experience,and makes for lively and informative conversation over meals.
Being fifty minutes from the airport,off the delhi Jaipur Highway it is an ideal staging post in which inbound visitors may catch their breath and shrug off jet-lag before venturing on.Though we can offer only four double bedrooms,we have become popular with larger group as a luch or dinner experience.
Finally,we are an ideal place to spend a safe last night,before rejoining the real world....
